in the seaside town...

Somewhere between Los Angeles and San Francisco...

how to rest in peace...

Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Everyday on my way to work I walk past this guy, he sits in the same chair, day in, day out, 7 days a week from 10am-6pm...he is always wearing a hat, suit and tie. Today I spoke to him, he's French and I had a hard time understanding his broken english. We communicated through hand signals. He knew I didn't understand French but kept speaking it anyway. I just nodded and smiled. In exchange for his photo he showed me inside his store. It was sad...old suits sat covered in dust looking like they'd been there since 1972, out dated styles, polyester and brown, three shop ladies stood inside, no customers, just shop ladies, stuffy clothes and a reminder of a time long past.
I took his photo, he kissed my cheek and we parted ways.

it's a long shot but i'll take a chance...

they were more liberal times...

Bronson Canyon Ditch, LA, CA
I just came across this photo from some years ago, I have since lost my entire iphoto library which I hope to retrieve someday...somehow.
This photo epitomizes Los Angeles. Dry, hot and fucking cool!

...and the sky was made of amethyst

Downtown Los Angeles, CA
On a peculiarly warm evening during a Los Angeles winter the sunset was so pretty... i grabbed my camera and raced to the rooftop to capture it. Los Angeles may be horribly polluted but it makes for the most stunning sunsets!

San Francisco, CA
Not enough hours in the day anymore...I have so many photos to post, I'll catch up one day, for now I'll leave you with these bears I spotted in San Francisco.
